4 Best Summer Pool Maintenance Tips

However, more frequent use of the pool exposes it to higher bather loads, prolonged sunlight, and contaminants, which means you need to maintain the water more frequently. Run the filter longer

Summer calls for more filtering time each day. Set the pool filter timer to work a couple of hours longer each day, preferably 20 to 22 hours tops. You may spend more on electricity, but you’ll be saving on chemicals, which is far more expensive.

Skim debris regularly

Avoid overworking your filter by doing some manual cleaning of your own. Skim the pool surface after every use is one of the fastest and easiest ways to keep your pool clean all summer long. While you’re at it, clean out the strainer baskets as well. This helps water circulate better why lowering chlorine demands.

Take care of gunk
